Below is a detailed breakdown of our common services and pricing to help you plan your next visit to our shop.

General Gunsmith Services

Gunsmith Hourly Rate: $100.00/hour (minimum $50.00)
- Important Notes:
  - Firearm malfunction diagnosis requires a magazine and ammunition. If ammunition is not provided, the cost of a box will be added to your bill.
  - Range fees and ammunition costs will be added for live-fire testing.
- Shop Supply Fee: $2.95 (lubricant, cleaner, etc.)
- Additional fees may apply for parts ordering, research, or expedited services.

Bolt-Action Rifles

Detailed Cleaning: $110.00
- Disassembly, inspection, bore and action cleaning, lubrication, reassembly, and function testing.
Scope Mounting: $60.00
- Includes leveling and bore-sighting. Drilling and tapping billed separately.

AR-15 & Semi-Automatic Rifles

Detailed Cleaning: $110.00
- Includes cleaning of bore, bolt carrier, buffer, and function testing.
Scope/Optic Mounting: $60.00
Handguard Swaps:
- Standard Free-Float: $55.00
- Gas Block Removal Required: $65.00
Trigger Installation: $55.00
Assembly Services:
- Lower Receiver: $60.00
- Upper Receiver: $75.00
- Entire AR Variant: $110.00
Muzzle Device Work:
- Removal and Reinstall: $45.00
- Pin and Weld: $90.00

Semi-Automatic Pistols

Detailed Cleaning: $75.00
- Includes bore, frame, and magazine cleaning, lubrication, and function testing.
Sight Installation: $35.00
- Fitting required: Additional $25.00.
Trigger Services:
- Installation & Fitment: $35.00-$150.00
- Polishing: $70.00

Revolvers

Detailed Cleaning: $85.00
- Includes disassembly, inspection, cleaning of bore and cylinder, lubrication, and function testing.

1911 Pistols

Detailed Cleaning: $85.00
Sight Installation: $35.00-$75.00 (depends on fitting and machining needs).
Parts Installation: $55.00-$150.00

Shotguns

Detailed Cleaning: $110.00 (Special models like Browning A5 start at $150.00).
Butt-Plate Fitting: $70.00
Stuck Choke Removal: $55.00

Specialty Services

Cosmoline Removal:
- Rifle: $220.00 (2 hours labor).
- Pistol: $110.00 (1 hour labor).
Remove Live Round from Chamber: $85.00 minimum.
Squib Removal: $60.00 minimum.
Appraisals & Inspections: $35.00 each.

Important Policies

Additional Charges:
- Removal of parts with thread locker will incur an extra charge.
- Lost claim tickets will result in a $15.00 fee.
Storage Fees:
- $25.00/month for firearms left over 30 days.
Safety Guidelines:
- We reserve the right to refuse any work deemed unsafe.
- We DO NOT remove or deactivate firearm safeties.
Tax on Labor: Per Iowa Code, all labor is taxed at 7%.
